Andrea Peto on Gender in Hungary

Illiberal governments, like the Hungarian one, use the demonized gender concept to solidify their power, our Research Affiliate Andrea Peto said in an interview with the Hungarian Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (Szabad Európa Rádió).

As she said, even if the government portrays women only as part of the “family,” and not as sufferers from gender inequalities in the society, it supports their career building, although in a way that creates other kinds of inequalities.
