Andrea Peto on the ‘Gender Struggle’ in the EU

“The gender struggle can unite actors who have not necessarily been eager to collaborate in the past,” our Research Affiliate Andrea Peto said to Danish daily Foljeton.

Gender has become the symbol of the so-called illiberal movements' political struggle against the EU, the article states. “It is not a conflict between East and West or South and North, but a political process of alliances that want to redefine normality,” Andrea Peto said, adding that “opponents to the so-called gender ideology and political correctness not only demonize the worldview of their enemies, but also denounce the paradigm of human rights.”
