Andrea Peto on the Honorary Doctorate at Södertörn University

“Sodertorn University and CEU have a common mission,” our Research Affiliate Andrea Peto said to Hungarian weekly Jelen, reflecting on her honorary doctorate, adding that Sodertorn University (SU) was founded in 1996 in order to promote higher education in southern Stockholm.

Andrea was proposed as the recipient of an honorary doctorate “to support her decisive scholarly contributions to gender research in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as her dedication to promoting this perspective at regional, national and European levels,” said Professor Joakim Ekman, director of the Centre for Baltic and East European Studies at SU.
