Andrea Peto on Illiberal Science Policy

Leaders of illiberal states have to create enemies, otherwise they would be exposed as unfit to govern, our Research Affiliate Andrea Peto said in an interview with Nepszava.

She talked about the collaboration of intellectuals with an anti-intellectual regime, about illiberal science policy, and how the interest in Hungarian gender researchers increased after the attacks of the Hungarian government against gender studies. She also talked about wartime violence against women, the memory of the Holocaust, also about the war in Ukraine.
