Around 30 per cent of Ukrainian soldiers are women, and this is completely changing warfare, our Research Affiliate Andrea Peto said to RTL Klub.
As she said, this is also a paradigm shift. Women who have been fighting for equality for the last 120 years are now taking part in the fights, and this will change the culture of militarism. Women are achieving emancipation through the army, and it is an important step in the struggle for equality, she argued, but it is also a paradox, because feminist literature is pro-peace.
She also talked about the lots of news about rape and other war crimes committed by Russian soldiers.
