Balint Madlovics on Corruption in Hungary and France

“The basic concept that needs to be understood is the difference between corruption that destroys the system and corruption that creates the system,” our Junior Research Fellow Balint Madlovics said to 444.

He and Elise van Beneden, President of Anticor talked about how corruption drains the institutions of the rule of law, and on the principles of a system based on theft. They argue that three quarters of French people believe that political actors are corrupt, and Hungarians also believe that their money being stolen is one of the biggest problems.
