September saw the kick-off of the 2023 CEU Democracy Institute Leadership Academy (DILA) program with the first in-person session attended by a dynamic cohort of 19 outstanding fellows from Central Europe.
DILA is a unique, part-time, 12-week-long English-language leadership training program set to redefine the future of leadership in Central and Eastern Europe. Its mission is to empower a new generation of public leaders who are dedicated to championing democratic change in their communities and beyond.
The fellows include mid-career local, municipal, and national leaders, civil society activists, political party representatives, and policy experts. Together, they share a common passion for promoting democratic change and driving progress in their communities.
During the first session the fellows have had the opportunity to exchange ideas and learn from outstanding speakers, including university professors, climate and energy experts, campaign strategists, as well as from each other. They are the foundation of a new generation of interconnected leaders in Central Europe.
