No child is protected from violence at school or domestic abuse by the so-called child protection law in Hungary our Research Affiliate Dorottya Redai argues in a video with Qubit.hu.
While sex education for children in Hungary has not been solved for decades, the existing and effective programs are now not even dared to be invited into schools because of the so-called child protection law, she said, adding that children with different identities are not even getting the help that was available before.
The moral panic tactics systematically used by the Hungarian government against people with different gender interests or identities not only reinforce the social power relations, but also fail the children they are claiming to protect, she continued.
