Stephen Stec Presented at United Nations Environment Assembly

The Assembly held a Special Session devoted to the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the creation of UN Environment Program in 1972 (UNEP@50), where Stephen Stec, lead researcher of our Environment and Democracy Workgroup presented the “The UNEP We Want: Major Groups and Stakeholders Report on the Future of UNEP and UNEA”.

The report is based on surveys, interviews and statements involving Major Groups and Stakeholders on UNEP’s first 50 years and on the expectations of civil society for UNEP’s role in the future. In his presentation Stephen Stec mentioned three words to represent the outcomes of the study: “diversity, equity and recognition.”
