Dr. Balint Abel Beremenyi, PhD in Social Anthropology, is currently a ‘Maria Zambrano’ research fellow at Pompeu Fabra University. Earlier did research at Central European University’s Democracy Institute (CEU/DI, Hungary), and Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain). His main research interests focus on ethnic minorities (Roma/Gypsy), children/youth, and social inequalities mostly in the domains of education and the labour market. He did ethnography in Hungary, Spain and Colombia. He teaches Anthropology in BA and MA programmes, supervises Master’s theses and doctoral dissertations, and has been a visiting teacher in several European universities. His articles have been published in Ethnic and Racial Studies, the British Journal of Sociology of Education, Compare: A Journal of Comparative and International Education, and Intercultural Education, among others.
