Dorjana Bojanovska Popovska obtained her S.J.D in Comparative Constitutional Law (Summa Cum Laude) from CEU in 2023, receiving the University Best Dissertation Award. She holds two LL.M diplomas - in Constitutional Law (Iustinianus Primus Faculty of Law, Skopje, 2014) and Comparative Constitutional Law (CEU, 2016). She is a former visiting scholar at the Department of Law, University of Milan (2019), and the Europa Institute, Leiden Law School (2017). She has 6+ years of experience as a legal advisor in the private and NGO sector in North Macedonia including. Her most recent publications include Snap Elections in Illiberal Democracies: Confirming Trust or Establishing Hegemony? (Constitutional Studies, 2022), Formal and substantive aspects of citizenship and its connection to religion (Quaderni di diritto e politica ecclesiastica, 2021) with F. Raimondo, and The Battle for the Essence of Article 9: A Study of Third-Party Interventions in Selected Cases (Iustinianus Primus L. Rev., 2020).
