Gina Donoso holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from Ghent University (Belgium). She is currently a visiting professor at the Department of Political Sciences, CEU. She also works as a psychosocial-trauma consultant, and as gender-based violence, transitional justice, and reparations specialist. Dr. Donoso has a comprehensive academic and research background in the areas of victims and community support, human rights, transitional justice, and humanitarian assistance.
Additionally, over the past 20 years, she has worked with several organizations, including the International Criminal Court (The Hague, Democratic Republic of Congo), United UN Woman (Jordan), UNDP (Iraq), United Nations Peacekeeping Operations (Kenya, China, India), Justice Rapid Response (Uganda’s, Truth and Reconciliation Commission of The Gambia and the Special Jurisdiction for Peace (JEP)-Colombia), the Inter-American Commission of Human Rights (Bolivia), the Truth Commission of Ecuador, among others.
