Post-doctoral Fellow pavsicz@ceu.edu Research areas Democracy in History Zala Pavsic is a postdoctoral fellow at the Democracy Institute. She is a historian working on contemporary history of Southeast Europe. Apart from a PhD in Cultural History from the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, her previous training includes Master degrees in Russian Language and Comparative Literature from the University in Ljubljana. Her research areas include the history of everyday life, history of emotions and gender studies. She is the recipient of numerous international grants and fellowships, including the Max Weber Fellowship (European University Institute, Florence) and the CAS SEE Fellowship (University in Rijeka). At CEU DI, her postdoctoral research project deals with the discourses of friendship in the disintegration of Yugoslavia. Related links CEU profile
